Our Mission Hills neighborhood is one of the most sought after areas in San Diego. Mission Hills offers a quiet peaceful setting, yet is close to all San Diego's popular destinations, such as Balboa Park, the Zoo, Hillcrest, Little Italy, Downtown, Old Town, the beaches (world famous Windansea Beach to the left is about 15 mins away and one of many nearby beaches), Sea World, Coronado, and the airport – all just a mere 10 minutes or less away.
If you enjoy eating out, you can walk or take a short Uber to Old Town or Mission Hills' commercial center and enjoy some of San Diego's popular restaurants such as Wolf in the Woods, Fort Oak, Brooklyn Girl, the Red Door, the Patio, Farmers Bodega, Lefty's Pizza, Harley Grey’s, or Izakaya Masa – our favorite Japanese gastropub (all less than a mile from the Casita).
For craft beer aficionados, there are many of San Diego's 300 local craft breweries within one to three miles. You will also be close to most of San Diego's sites: The major freeways intersect within less than 2 miles of the casita. A city bus line runs a block away and the San Diego Trolley station in Old Town is a short walk away. Short taxis and Uber rides to downtown are typically less than $10.
